General Manager

Serve a leading role in a growing non-profit organization. The General Manager runs Juventas’s administrative operations, reporting to the Artistic & Executive Director.

CONCERT PRODUCTION

  • Manage front of house operations, including box office and meet-the-artist receptions

  • Create stage maps and manage stage changes

  • Design, implement and run concert volunteer program

  • Contract venues

  • Prepare musician contracts

  • Coordinate musician rehearsals and book rehearsal venues

  • Prepare program book copy for Juventas Graphic Designer

MARKETING

  • Design and execute marketing strategy

  • Update and maintain website

  • Create and send marketing emails

  • Create and send marketing postcards, in collaboration with graphic designer

  • Organize paid advertising

  • Research analytics data to better inform marketing decisions

  • Write and distribute press releases

  • Build relationships with press

RECORDING SESSIONS & RESIDENCIES

  • Solicit work-for-hire projects, including recording projects and academic residencies

  • Manage relationships with partner organizations

  • Prepare musician contracts

  • Schedule rehearsals

  • Attend recording sessions and residencies as needed

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

  • Supervise arts administration interns, in collaboration with Artistic Director

  • Attend quarterly board meetings and prepare briefings

  • Order and scan sheet music

SCHEDULE

20 hours per week.  Primarily teleworking with in-person attendance expected for concert performances and some meetings and rehearsals. Requires work on occasional nights and weekends, for concert performances.

STARTING COMPENSATION

$24,960 annually (20 hours per week at $24/hour)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Prior experience with classical music concert production or non-profit management

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to travel to venues across New England. Current performance sites include Boston, Boylston, Brookline, Cambridge, Newburyport, Rockport and Sudbury, Massachusetts; and Brattleboro, Vermont.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail

  • Supervisory experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Marketing Experience

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: Arts People, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Stripe, Google Docs

  • Fluency with social media platforms
