Composer Feature: Bella Rose Kelly
Happy Friday! We are only one week out from our 2025-2026 season opener: Bloom, Blaze, Fall Frost! This week, we spotlight one of the composers on the program, Bella Rose Kelly!
Bella Rose Kelly is a contemporary composer “dedicated to accessibility in classical spaces.” She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and primarily studied with Dr. Richard Carrick, Dr. Evan Williams, and Dr. Marti Epstein. She describes her work as “exploring the boundaries of sound, notation, and electroacoustics in contemporary spaces.” Her music has been performed on multiple occasions by Neither/Nor Ensemble and was featured at SPLICE Festival V in 2023.
Bella recently finished her time with Juventas as an Arts Administration Intern, where she did important work advancing the accessibility of our performances. She led community outreach, in addition to providing tickets to veterans and first responders. Thank you Bella!
Juventas performed the World Premiere of Bella Rose Kelly’s work, “Bloom/Decay” at Bloom, Blaze, Fall, Frost!
