Aimee Lents

Arts Administration Intern

Aimee Lents is a music scholar interested in community music and engagement. Growing up in North Carolina, Aimee played percussion in various ensembles, ranging from the Winston-Salem Symphony Youth Orchestra to the marching band at Wake Forest University. There, she studied techno-orientalism in the music backing cyborg women in cyberpunk dystopian cinema and received her bachelor’s degree in music with a double major in sociology. Besides percussion, she has also dabbled in jazz piano and the carillon, the latter of which—with a Richter Scholarship—took her across seas and up bell towers in the Netherlands and Belgium. She is currently an M.A. student in Ethnomusicology at Boston University.
